Beasts, Behemoths, and Battles
A downloadable game for macOS
Beasts, Behemoths, and Battles is a 3d action game where you're a gladiator forced to battle monsters in an arena. Fight your way through waves of monsters and take down enormous bosses, with the hope of one day winning your freedom.
You'll have to battle swarms of deadly enemies in six unique arenas, each with their own colossal boss at the end. Take down these titans to open the next arena, each of which includes more enemies to add to the ever growing roster of beautifully animated and bizarre foes. Flying sea slugs, parakeet crabs, and ravenous raptors - all can be found within the circular walls of the arena.
Each arena needs to be cleared in a single go to progress - if you aren't strong enough to take down one of the massive bosses after hacking and slashing your way through the hordes of monsters, you'll have to try again. However, there is no need to despair, as you bring a stash of healing potions with you each time you enter the colosseum, and careful use of these will put victory well within your grasp.
As you progress through the game, the monsters you are pitted against will devour ever greater chunks of your health. Just tanking through their attacks and healing later will quickly become a non-viable strategy, and you will find success coming to you much more naturally if you make good use of the elegant dodge feature. The dodge feature allows you to dance out of the way of the earth shattering strikes of your foes, only to run back in and slash at your opponent while they are still recovering from their attack.
If you beat the game and still find yourself craving an additional challenge, you can decide to test yourself in the boss rush mode, where you need to cut down immense monstrosity after immense monstrosity. A true challenge, this mode is only meant for the most experienced of players, who are confident they can take on every boss one after another.
The pictures below the screenshots are renders. They monsters in them are from our game, but unfortunately they don't look quite this cool in the actual game.
